How Renvyn uses AI
Last updated: 20 June 2026
Renvyn is an AI photo editor. This page explains how we use AI and how AI-generated results are identified.
Edits are AI-generated
Renvyn uses generative AI to enhance, restore, and transform your photos. Results are produced by an AI model and may add, remove, or alter detail that was not in your original photo.
How your photo is processed
When you run an edit, your photo is sent to a third-party AI image-generation service (Google Cloud Vertex AI) that processes it on our behalf, generates the edited image, and returns it to you. No human at Renvyn reviews your photos as part of normal processing.
Not a factual record
Because edits are AI-generated, an enhanced image is an interpretation, not a faithful record of reality. Don't rely on AI-edited photos as evidence of how something actually looked.
Identifying AI content
Every image Renvyn produces carries an industry-standard Content Credentials (C2PA) marker that identifies it as AI-generated, so platforms and tools that support it can recognise the image as AI content. You can inspect these credentials with any C2PA verifier (for example, contentcredentials.org/verify). We also disclose AI use here and throughout the app.
Your photos and data
We do not train our models on your personal photos. Originals and results follow the retention windows described in our Privacy Policy.
